RHE & PSHE

PSHE curriculum intent

At our school, PSHE is a vital part of our curriculum, rooted in our vision of “Happy Friends Learning Together”. We aim to nurture each child as a unique individual, helping them to flourish socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Guided by our core Christian values of Love, Friendship, and Forgiveness, we create a safe and inclusive environment where children learn to value themselves and others.
Through PSHE, we empower children to:
  • Develop positive relationships and friendships built on kindness, respect, and empathy.
  • Understand and manage their emotions, building resilience and confidence.
  • Make healthy choices for their bodies and minds.
  • Appreciate diversity and learn to live harmoniously with others, locally and globally.
  • Reflect on the importance of forgiveness and reconciliation in their daily lives.
Inspired by the teaching “Love your neighbour as yourself” (Matthew 22:39), our PSHE curriculum encourages children to care for themselves, their peers, and the wider world. We strive to instil a lifelong love of learning and a deep sense of responsibility towards others, helping to transform lives through compassion and understanding.
